Why a Raffle. . .

No begging for donations. If someone has a chance to "win" something, they are more willing to donate, especially if it is a cause dear to their heart.

There is much less administrative costs involved. Once the raffle is up and running, very little time is needed to accept donations and mail tickets to participants. Usually only one person is needed to handle these duties.

We can reach contributors all over the country.  Many car lovers are eager to participate in a raffle event.

We can advertise our services, programs, etc at the same time we are advertising the raffle. This can be especially effective in your local area.

Ideal for special projects that only come up once or twice a year.

If handled properly, it is a sure fire way to raise funds and we know when we can expect to have the funds available to use (when the drawing is over).

The Beginning. . .

When Starting Street Impact, we financed most of it ourselves. We don't charge for our services, take up offerings, or send out letters. Now that we have all the elements together, we need to have resources to expand and travel.

Holding a raffle seemed a fun way to involve people in Street Impact. And how appropriate to give away -- a 1923 T Roadster -- next spring, the time and date yet to be dertermined". The chance to win something valuable and unique... while helping a good cause is a win-win situation.

Besides individuals just buying one ticket for one chance,

• we offer a "special" to those who buy 10... they get one Free!
  
• If only 300 people took ten tickets to sell... or
  
• if 30 organizations (such as professional people, churches or businesses ) each sold 100 tickets...

we would reach our goal easily. Thus being able to put more time into kids rather than fundraising.

We are very grateful for the support that comes from our friends who have watched and believed in us over the years... and will be equally encouraged and thankful to those who give not knowing us personally but have a desire to see our young people reached.
